How To Cool Your Xbox 360

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

To stay ahead of it’s competitors, Microsoft rushed the production of it’s Xbox 360 product too quickly. Because of this, it has a failure rate of over 30 percent. Due to it’s many built in ‘bugs’, the Xbox 360 is a frail device.

It has a cooling system that barely keeps up with the heat output of it’s circuitry. When it gets too hot, the heat interacts with it’s design flaws which brings about the red ring of death. Therefore it is important to keep your Xbox 360 cool in order to avoid the red ring of death.

This article will discuss different ways to keep your Xbox cool.

Although no one is going to deliberately block the cooling vents, there are many unintentional ways of doing this. These include placing the Xbox on surfaces that block local cooling currents such as pillows, beds, soft rugs and sofas.

How to avoid physical injury from your xbox360

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

First of all let me say that this article is not another ‘your gaming to much so your going to become obese’ No it is a simple guide on what you should do when spending those endlessly fun hours at your Xbox.

If you are anything like me and no doubt some of you are you will spend hours sitting in front of the T.V bashing away at the controller and getting constantly ‘upset’ with the game you are playing. Unfortunately for me and you is that gaming this hard is not only bad but a strain on the body. Controllers these days are ergonomically manufactured in that they ‘mold’ to your hands. However just because your hands are molded to an ergonomically designed controller doesn’t mean that you’ve avoided injury. If you have ever heard of the term carpel-tunnel syndrome (hopefully you should have) you will know that sufferers battle through pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in the arm and wrist. Carpel-tunnel syndrome can be a result of RSI or repetitive stress injury, the name pretty much speaks for itself however you can develop RSI by making the same physical movement over an extended period of time.
