E3 ‘08 Predictions: Microsoft
Alot of people have been asking me for my E3 predictions, especially regarding Microsoft’s presser. I will not only give my personal predictions but also address many E3 rumors flying around the net. Hit the jump for my vision of Microsoft’s future.
- Microsoft will announce a $299 price tag for the Pro version of the Xbox 36o.
This $50 price drop carries a 100% satisfaction guarantee from Ace, but there is something weird about it. It seems only the pro version will be getting a price drop and the reasoning behind this decision can lead to many outcomes. The pro version is slowly being phased out for a new 60 GB version which will debut at $349 and Microsoft will discontinue the Arcade version. This will answer developers’ pleas for hard drives in every system and will allow them to safely rely on it in the next year or so. Or an entirely new model will be introduced to fill that $349 void. Maybe the answer lies in the video below.
